Fitzli

Mealime closes on 21 October 2026

A Mealime alternative for food allergies, coeliac and IBS.

Fitzli plans your week of meals around what you can't eat, then writes the shopping list and walks you through the cooking. It runs on iPhone and Android, and it isn't tied to one grocery chain.

What happens to Mealime

  • Mealime is discontinued on 21 October 2026.
  • Its recipes move to Meals Hub, which runs inside the apps and websites of Albertsons Companies' grocery chains, such as Safeway, Albertsons and Vons.
  • Mealime says all personal data is deleted when the app shuts down, and it doesn't offer an export. Your saved plans and lists won't carry over to another app.

What Fitzli does

  • A full week, not just dinners: breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack, built for your calorie and protein targets.
  • Allergies are filters, not tags: nuts and peanuts, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, sesame, soy and gluten stay out of the plan and the recipes. Anything else, like celery or mustard, can be added as free text.
  • Coeliac and lactose intolerance: Fitzli swaps to the gluten-free or lactose-free version of the same ingredient, such as gluten-free pasta or lactose-free milk, and only uses oats labelled gluten-free.
  • Low FODMAP: choose it in the app, and onion, garlic, beans, lentils and more are left out.
  • A shopping list that writes itself, grouped by aisle (Premium).
  • Cooking mode with the steps one by one and timers.
  • Swap a meal you don't fancy for another one that fits.
  • Training too, if you want it: a weekly workout plan with technique videos for the exercises.

Questions

Can I import my Mealime recipes or plans?

No. Mealime doesn't offer an export, so there is nothing to import. You answer a few questions in Fitzli, including what you can't eat, and get a new week in about a minute.

Is Fitzli free?

Your first weekly plan is free. Premium unlocks every recipe with steps and cooking mode, new plans whenever you want, unlimited meal swaps and the shopping list. The price is shown in your currency in the App Store and Google Play, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

Does it work outside the US?

Yes. Fitzli isn't tied to a grocery chain, and it's in English and Swedish.

Is it medical advice?

No. Fitzli helps you plan meals; it doesn't diagnose or treat anything. Always check ingredients and labels yourself, especially with food allergies, and talk to your doctor or dietitian about your diet.
